Rogue

A quick review on a novel titled ‘Rogue’ made by M. Rizky Novalini. This novel told a story of a band of three grown men embarks on a journey across the post-apocalyptic United States of America. From the golden gate bridge, to a civilization on the East Coast. As they learn that nothing will ever go as planned.

“Here lies the desperate, once there among us the survivors, and left us behind in pain and agony.” I didn’t know what that means until I threw my cigarette down the cliff to see where it goes, the cliff was stacked with dead bodies, me, women, even children and their pets, are hammered by by the waves, I believe those are the remains of people who couldn’t stand to live in this ruined world, and decided to take a leap towards eternity.

“Do you know something abou-“ I haven’t finished my question and he already answered,

“Yes, I do, those are civilians, they didn’t know what to do, and had no gun to shoot themselves, so they went here. Come on, we should go.”

Before we leave I took a spray paint left by whoever made that sign, and added two words to the message board “Respect them”.

(+) For a first time writer, this is a great novel. Writing an action novel is not an easy thing to do,                especialy how to make readers understand the action scene. But M. Rizky Novalini can write the   scene pretty well.
(-) There are some plot holes, so the story line a little bit confusing at times.
